Help send medical supplies, hygiene kits and food supplies to health centres as well as universities who are housing students on campus!

Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for your contributions to our COVID-19 Support Fund. This support fund aims to equip our front liners with the right protective gear as they work to fight the coronavirus; COVID-19.

Though we are essentially a crowdfunding platform for education, we made the announcement to open up our platform to NGOs affected by COVID-19 to raise funds for their organisations. Following the announcement, we received a lot of requests to raise funds for hospitals in need of medical equipment.

We then started this fundraising campaign on the 22nd of March 2020 in response to the growing need of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our nurses and doctors in the hospitals treating COVID-19 patients. This fundraiser allowed those who wanted to help from home contribute to the cause of fighting COVID-19 in Malaysia.

100% Project joined forces with the GLC/GLIC Disaster Response Network (GDRN) as the crowdfunding partner to raise funds from the public. The GDRN is comprised of many government-linked companies and government-linked investment companies who have dedicated large contributions into purchasing necessary items for those affected by this pandemic. Other partners within GDRN work with the Ministry of Health and are involved with the procurement and coordination of supplies given to our healthcare system.

The GDRN contributions are an addition to the RM500 million that was allocated by the government to our Ministry of Health on the 23rd of March 2020 as an effort to provide more equipment that will prevent COVID-19 from escalating.

As of 1st April 2020, the GDRN has collectively contributed RM51.5 million to purchasing medical and non-medical supplies for various beneficiaries affected by COVID-19.

You can get more updates on GDRNBantu.online

There are so many initiatives around the country dedicated to helping those on the front lines and we are deeply honoured to have been one of the initiatives able to provide our services in getting your contributions to those most in need during these trying times.

To date, the COVID-19 Support Fund by 100% Project has raised RM37,201 to be pledged through the GDRN. However, we will now be closing this campaign despite not reaching our initial target of RM500,000 as the Ministry of Health has recently provided details of an account you can directly contribute to to help with the procurement of more medical supplies for their hospitals.

We want to thank you once again for your kind contributions, we will provide more updates as they come along regarding the delivery of supplies from GDRN and you can check them out in our news section of this page.

You can also check out other projects currently on 100% Project responding to COVID-19 such as the COVID-19 PPE FOR FRONTLINERS fundraiser by RumahKita. RumahKIta [A Response Movement for COVID-19] is a grassroot coalition of Malaysian NGOs and individuals who came together to directly respond to requests made from front liners for necessary supplies.

We are currently gearing up our platform to assist our teacher and school communities that are affected by this crisis. More projects will be up on the platform soon.

In the meantime, we hope you are staying safe by staying at home.

We can all help fight this virus together!

Sincerely,

100% Project Team
